Decorative
Components, Inc. comprises several companies designed to work in
conjunction to meet the complex metal component needs of its customers.
DCI emerged
from its Michigan-based zinc die casting company Brillcast,Inc.,
as we determined the need to grow and expand beyond zinc die casting.
As more and more companies reduce their supplier base, the suppliers
remaining take on greater responsibilities. DCI is no exception. In order
to supply its customers with complete products matching their requirements,
DCI management formed companies throughout the world. These product lines
include brass forgings, brass permanent moldings, magnesium
castings, and its original product, zinc die castings.
“Our mission is to expand our markets by delivering complex metal
components and superior customer service”
The Beginnings
John Brill formed Brillcast in 1956. The company began in a 6,000-sq.ft.building
located in Grand Rapids, MI, where they focused on the appliance and automotive
industries. Over its five decades of service, Brillcast has continued to
grow steadily. Under the direction of the current management, Brillcast comprises
over 200 dedicated employees operating in a modern 123,000-sq.ft. die casting
facility.
Today Brillcast as part of the DCI campus still provides decorative
zinc die castings to some of the most demanding industries. These industries
include gaming, small engine, automotive, appliance, office furniture, door & window
hardware, motorcycle and plumbing.
